Cycling

Around the campground, you will find kilometers of trails and bike paths that you and your family can avail of. The coastal path into the Kurefjord is a good tip, otherwise, you can follow this link for maps and more information.

Rygge municipality has a blue-flagged coastal path throughout the municipality of approx. 34 kilometers. The coastal path goes partly on the road and partly in the terrain. The trip takes place in stunning, beautiful surroundings with proximity to both land and sea. The trails are suitable for cycling.

 

Water Sports

Do you enjoy kayaking, windsurfing or kiting? Then the beach of Denmark is a great starting point.

Teibernstranda and Denmarksstranda are excellent starting points for water sports. The beaches are located near Larkollen camping. They have a long-range bay with a sandy bottom, being sheltered by a natural pier of 200-300 meters which extends to the island of Lille-Denmark.

At high tide and low pressure, the waves often pass. Southwest is preferred wind direction, as the bay can get a bit tight in the south. On days with a lot of people, the East-tip of Lille-Denmark can be a very good flat-water option.

 

Hiking

The scenery surrounding the campsite is a perfect fit for anyone who enjoys both the seaside and the forest at the same time. Moss municipality offers a marked coastal path (marked in blue) meandering along the coastal landscape, and covers over 34 km. For parts of its length the path follows roads. 

The path follows picturesque surroundings both along the stunning maritime seascape and our forests. 

 

Beaches

If you want a walk on the beach, we have several sandy beaches in the immediate vicinity. Neset Beach and Langstranden are just below the reception. Also close by are Teibern Beach and Paradise Bay which are worth a visit. See map for more information.

Larkollen Camping and swimming go hand in hand. With several sandy beaches and swabs in the immediate vicinity, one can choose to wreck in beautiful bathing areas. The southwest-facing Denmark beach just below the campsite is considered by many to be one of the district’s finest sandy beaches.

 

Miniature golf

Inside the campsite, we have our own miniature golf course for use by our guests with free equipment rental. What about challenging the family to a match, to see who can crown the title of the king of miniature golf?

 

The surrounding area

Beaches, boating, cafe or cultural experiences. In the local council around Larkollen Camping you and the whole family can experience all that the summer has to offer.

Losen, a local cafe, and eatery are worth recommending. Støtvig Hotell has a restaurant, bar, spa and recreation facilities for the whole family. If you want to play golf, Evje golf course is one of Norway’s best courses. Every summer, Larkolluka is arranged. Here people gather about olabil races, sandcastle competitions, concerts, and the Larkollrevy.

Larkollen, located in Rygge municipality, is one of Oslofjord’s most popular resorts. With its idyllic setting and many outdoor areas, it is referred to as a typical summer place.

Larkollen has around 1400 permanent residents, but during the summer months, the population is almost doubled.

 

Kiosk

In our nice kiosk you can buy ice cream, soft drinks and sweets. You can also buy a variety of foods. And fresh bread can be ordered every day. Otherwise, gas and various sanitary ware are sold. Have you forgotten something on the shopping? Do not worry, we in the kiosk can help you.
